HEAD CHECK (SCREENING – the first step)
Not sure if it is lice, dandruff, or just an itchy scalp? We can check your child’s hair, show you what to look for with a professional head check. Our clinicians carefully inspect the hair and scalp and let you know what we find. If an active case of head lice is confirmed, we go through treatment options with you, and you decide what you want to do.
Lice can spread quickly through a household. We strongly suggest that all family members are checked for lice and nits. One person may have obvious lice, but others may be at an earlier stage of infestation and be harder to detect without a thorough screening. Checking and treating all family members with nits at the same time can prevent re-infestations.

Signature AirAllé® Treatment
The AirAllé® device is used by our lice technicians on individuals with dry, untangled hair that can be easily combed. During the course of a 30-minute treatment, the trained AirAllé technician gently places the device’s applicator tip under the hair and against the head, moving its position every 30 seconds until the entire head has been treated.
The AirAllé device blows heated air through its applicator tip along the scalp and hair shafts at a higher flow (but much cooler temperature) than a hairdryer. The technician will stop the use of the device immediately if an individual being treated gives a verbal or physical sign of discomfort.
This is our most popular and effective lice treatment option.

EXPRESS AIRALLÉ® TREATMENT
This option includes a 30-minute AirAllé® treatment and a 10-minute comb-out to remove some of the dead lice and dehydrated eggs. This is a budget minded option for those who want the professional heated air treatment but are committed to completing additional combing and oil applications at home.

COMB-OUT TREATMENT
We do not recommend the AirAllé® treatment for children under four or for clients for whom the AirAllé® is contraindicated. In these cases, we recommend a strand by strand traditional comb-out to remove lice and eggs using only non-toxic products. This option requires the following: Purchase of an at-home comb-out kit, 30 minutes of combing every day for 5-7 days, an oil application day 5 and day 10, and an in clinic recheck on day 11.

DO-IT-YOURSELF LICE REMOVAL KIT
Our most affordable treatment option! We provide all the topical treatment products you will need, a professional lice comb, and detailed instructions on how to properly perform the comb-out. Since most parents are not experienced at lice-removal, to ensure all the lice are removed will take substantially more time than a professional treatment. The parent will need to perform several follow-up procedures during the next 11 days.

The AirAllé® device cannot be used to treat persons who cannot sense temperature or pain; who cannot communicate physical discomfort; who have open head wounds, sores, or visible signs of skin or scalp abnormalities; who have received radiation treatment of the head within the last 6 months; who have cranial or facial implants; children under the age of 4; or who have hair that cannot be combed through with a standard comb.
